Where’s the #MeToo crowd when girls need them?
Over the past decade, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) waved thousands of children into the country to be brides of older men, many of them resident aliens.
“In almost all of these cases this involves cultures where young girls are often the subject of arranged marriages with much older men offering substantial dowries for the right to marry,” the Center for Immigration Studies states.
From 2007 to 2017, USCIS and the State Department approved 5,556 requests to admit spouses or fiancées under the age of 18, and 2,926 approvals of minors seeking to bring in older spouses.
Countries with the most requests were, in order, Mexico, Pakistan, Jordan, the Dominican Republic and Yemen. Middle Eastern nationals had the highest percentage of overall approved petitions.

In 2016, FAIR noted that forced marriage was a growing problem among immigrant groups in America. At the time, Syrian refugee communities had a particularly high incidence of child brides.
Marvels of cultural diversity notwithstanding, the United States has laws governing when individuals are “of age” for matrimony. The threshold is predicated on one’s ability to make mature decisions and to give informed consent.
Unfortunately, and unbelievably, the U.S. the Immigration and Nationality Act sets no minimum age requirement. In weighing petitions for spouses or fiancées, USCIS considers when marriages are legal in the home countries, where brides can be 13, 12 or even younger. The agency said it rejected just 2.6 percent of spousal or fiancée claims.
“It indicates a loophole that we need to close,” said Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee.
Indeed. Immigration policies that permit the importation of underage brides makes a disgusting farce of American ideals and mocks this nation’s commitment to safeguarding inalienable human rights.

Like the couple from Turkey who came to America (legally/illegally??) who could not read or write their own language but managed enough English to run a “mom & pop” convienent store in a low income area and ended up being arrested for cheating their customers on the lottery tickets, coupons, etc., and stated that they loved Americans because we were so easy to rip-off! Great, huh?! We need more people just like them don’t we Chuck & Nancy??!
Great article that reveals the harsh facts about the immigration and the negative aspect for minors. It seems unlawful based on the child’s age to approve and grant entry into our country. Diversity is the mantra of the ultra liberal crowd in all arenas . The me too group is ignorant of this type of immigration and would label it racist, etc if the president does anything to protect our borders.
Hopefully, Rep. Ron Johnson can argue the facts and provide enough evidence to fix the loophole
I wish every American citizen would stand up against this type of immigration and also illegal entry into our country. If citizens understand that we actually pay welfare benefits for a baby born to an illegal alien mother they would protest in the streets. The American taxpayer should not have to pay for the children of people who come here illegally and are dependent on government assistance for 18+ years. The interpretation of Amendment 14 needs to change!

With zero tolerance enforcement of immigration laws on the books. Its a fabricated Trump emergency to the OBP to have to enforce these laws? Children are dying because the wall is porous and ineffective….they push the innocent babies through the gaps….90% of the heroine too….but its a fabricated national emergency at the border as they throw rocks at our Army and the Army responds with tear gas to stop the horrifying/invading MOBs.

They howl in outrage if you question any aspect of the liberal agenda, no matter how radical, but they insist you MUST praise cultures whose treatment of women is straight out of the 15th century, where they are little more than possessions of their male relatives. And liberals have all become a bunch of junior Joe McCarthys, with a Russian under every bed and no foreign war they don’t love.
Los Angeles County is ready to impose a “congestion fee” for driving at the most crowded times of the day. Of course, no one proposes the obvious. Just like their problems with overcrowded classrooms, it would help to cut off the spigot of foreign arrivals who are only making the problem worse. Can’t do that though. Might hurt someone’s feelings. Of course, rich Hollywood liberals will just pay it, means nothing to them.
