Both ends of the political spectrum have their boogeymen – secretive billionaires who bankroll efforts to remake America according to their own shady political ideologies. For those on the right, that boogeyman is George Soros, while those on the left can point to David and Charles Koch (with a combined net worth of about $100 billion) as the embodiments of all that is evil, cynical, and un-American.
Appropriately, immigration serves as a central tool in both the Soros and Koch efforts to force their dystopian visions on a reluctant American public. For Soros, immigration is a means to undermine the unity and cohesiveness United States and, in doing so, diminish its oversized influence on the world. For the Koch brothers, immigration is a means to fulfilling their libertarian vision of a world in which business interests have unfettered access to the cheapest possible labor.
A glowing article in Time magazine (with the appended disclaimer at the end reading, “Time Inc., TIME’s parent company, was acquired by Meredith Corp. in a deal partially financed by Koch Equity Development, a subsidiary of Koch Industries Inc.”) details the efforts by the Koch-financed LIBRE Initiative to advance the cause of virtually unrestricted immigration.
Headed by Daniel Garza, a former operative in the George W. Bush administration, LIBRE is mounting an all-out effort this summer to pressure Republicans into supporting their vision of immigration reform, i.e. mass amnesty and unchecked immigration. The group, with a staff of 60, is “organizing five public rallies in the next week aimed at shaking loose a congressional stalemate on immigration, highlighting yet another looming deadline for courts to decide how to handle children who came to the country illegally,” reports Time.
In addition to the public rallies, LIBRE is working behind the scenes to turn up the heat on Republican lawmakers in ten swing states in advance of the midterm elections. “It’s a top priority for our network. We’re putting our money and our resources and our team where our mouth is,” says Garza. Even in the current Congress, LIBRE forged an alliance with the National Council of La Raza (recently rechristened UnidosUS) to help block legislation that would have reduced overall immigration. In Garza’s estimation, any reduction in immigration is “unacceptable.” “If you made these policy decisions that would restrict legal immigration, then you would hinder the ability to address market forces and the private sector to hire who they need to hire,” making it clear exactly what the Kochs’ agenda is.
It’s just not the American people’s agenda, but that matters little to either the Koch brothers or Soros.

Of course, there is Lenin’s famous quote “The capitalists will sell us the rope with which we h#ng them”. What the Koch brothers are apparently too stupid to realize is that the more third-worlders we allow in, the more Democratic [socialist] voters there will be, and the more they will be taxed and regulated. People like the Kochs have the foresight of a gnat. Nothing wrong with business paying their fair share of taxes and being regulated. but most left wing governments have a soak the rich mentality, and some such as Venezuela and Cuba have devastated their economies. Do the Kochs really think they are going to get a break when the social justice warriors take over and every “free” program they can come up with is implemented.
Too bad the Koch brothers and Soros couldn’t just enjoy their billions and living the high life instead of using their billions to try and destroy America and the American middle class. But power corrupts and human nature unfortunately doesn’t change.
One of the things that made our country so great during the American century was our large middle class. If our middle class is destroyed through the combination of the mass importation of cheap foreign labor and the offshoring of jobs to cheap foreign labor markets their will be no second American century.
For example, having worked at one of the largest tech companies in Silicon Valley, the setup is to combine bringing in to headquarters cheap Indian H1B tech workers while employing cheap tech workers at company facilities in Asia in order to jack up the price of the company’s stock.
Using the internet low wage engineers in Asia would use equipment at headquarters which was up and running 24/7. This doesn’t mean there weren’t US citizen engineers employed with good jobs at the company, because there were, there were just fewer of them.
Silicon Valley high rollers are sort of the modern day version of the Rhett Butler and Scarlett O’Hara plantation owners with their Silicon Valley tech campus plantation profiting from their underpaid Indian H1B coolies and the underpaid illegal alien Hispanic housekeepers, nannies, etc. being the modern day version of “the help” at the big plantation house.
Of course Silicon Valley high rollers are “progressives” who love “diversity”, but Miss Scarlett and Rhett loved diversity. It was great having a diverse group of cheap labour waiting on them while they lived the high life. But they were just more honest about profiting from a cheap nonwhite labour force.
Amen to that!
The Loony Left will give this a pass. The Koch Brothers have now officially become Useful Idiots. If they succeed in getting a mass amnesty past an American citizenry, they’ll find out what happens to Useful Idiots who are no longer useful!
