Austin City Limits: Giving Aliens a Pass

Not content to offer mere sanctuary to illegal aliens, Austin, Texas, has declared itself a “Freedom City.”

A resolution passed unanimously by the City Council restricts police questions about immigration status. If cops do broach the subject, they must state that their query need not be answered.

Austin’s neo-Miranda policy skirts, even undermines, state law that enables local law-enforcement agencies to inquire about the immigration status of anyone arrested or detained, and requires local authorities to cooperate with federal immigration agents.

Officials in Texas’s capital city proudly strut in the vanguard of resistance to the state’s anti-sanctuary statute, Senate Bill 4. While waging a costly fight in federal courts to kill the law, Austin is spending $200,000 to represent illegal aliens facing deportation.

Last week, council members traveled to a migrant camp in the border town of Tornillo.

Explaining why he and his municipal colleagues would caravan far from home to pose for photos with illegal aliens and celebrities, Mayor Steve Adler immodestly declared, “Cities around the state and around the country are looking at Austin for leadership.”

Indeed, Austin’s political hubris appears to have no limits. Living down to its “Keep It Weird” motto, the only restraint Austin City Hall seems interested in applying is against its own police force.

No word yet from state officials as to what, if anything, they intend to do about the not-so-civil rebellion in their midst.

A story a couple weeks ago in the Washington Post, not a “far right” source, outlined the presence of MS13 gang members at William Wirt Middle School in Riverdale Maryland, a few miles from the White House. Not high school, but a middle school. Many of the “unaccompanied minors” placed at the school are targets of recruitment.

Fight are a daily occurrence at the school and teachers quoted anonymously say they have no control of their classrooms and dare not try to impose discipline themselves because they are afraid of being assaulted. School administrators ignore and deny all such problems, but documents obtained by the paper show that teachers and parents are telling the truth.

It is hardly the only school in the area with these problems. Another school system destroyed by our open borders policies but liberals will tell you how fortunate we are to have this mass immigration of third world illiterates from violent societies. This is also nothing you are going to see on the big three news broadcasts. After all, they can’t mess up their agendas. Endless innuendo on “Russian collusion” but not a word on the fact that many of our politicians might as well be paid by Mexico.

      Hi Leland

I hope you are doing fine 😉

Yes….the open border party is destroying America. The DNC has no agenda except let the immigration crisis go to Hades like Obama Care has….

Trump summed it up…”where am I gonna get the 5000 judges” we need at the border? The tooth fairy…LOL?

And now the Open Border Party wants more beds for even more invaders with a immigration bill to pay for it down in flames today, as Trump predicted. We have our own massive assortment of homeless tent cities, many with our veterans, but these are citizens mostly and qualify for food stamps and other social supports that foreign invaders don’t deserve. Its that simple.

We have to build the WALL, the invader child bribery money pays for it anyway, almost immediately too.

I saw that a lot of people in California were objecting to the use of military bases in that state to house illegals with their families. They have nothing to say about it. It’s federal property. Although it’s pretty predictable that they will try to prevent any buses entering. Which should bring immediate arrest. These people are so convinced of their righteousness that they don’t need to follow the law.
