Last month, AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka said, “The labor movement has no higher priority in 2013 than a workable immigration system that will allow 11 million aspiring Americans to become citizens.”
When Trumka said “no higher priority,” he really meant it. By his own admission, some of the guest worker provisions in the Gang of Eight immigration bill, S.744, constitute “unambiguous attacks on American workers.”
So the nation’s largest labor coalition couldn’t possibly continue to support “unambiguous attacks on American workers,” right? Alas, not right. It seems the AFL-CIO will continue to spend its members’ union dues to support “unambiguous attacks on American workers” as the union bosses pursue their highest priority: amnesty for illegal aliens.

Seems that none of the pro-amnesty people even bother to hide their true intentions anymore. Unions want illegals to pay for the declining membership, the pols want the votes and businesses want cheap labor. The President is the only one who tries to sugar coat his reasons. He says it’s the “Right thing to do, because we are a nation of immigrants.” Mr. President, do you mean that this once proud nation was built by people who sneaked in after immigration laws were established? Do you mean by people who bring illicit drugs with them? Are you referring to the inordinate amount of these ‘immigrants’ who drink and drive as a matter of course, killing and injuring innocent people? Or how about the child molesters and domestic abusers? What about those who demand ‘rights’ as citizens because they’ve been encouraged with this sense of entitlement by our own government? I could go on, but you get the idea. No, Mr. President, today’s illegal aliens are far cry from yesterday’s true immigrants. Don’t insult them or us.

Trumka will do whatever it takes to keep the Democrats in power, since Democrats provide wonderful paybacks to union leaders for their support. Amnesty will assure that Democrats hold power for the foreseeable future, since the illegals will be loyal to the Democrats for rewarding them with amnesty. Therefore,Trumka supports amnesty to keep the Democrats in perpetual power in the U.S.A. Why should he care about American workers displaced by illegal workers? He wants to continue to be the kingpin who controls the union vote and derives his power from the political kickbacks provided by the Democrats. Trumka’s support for amnesty is a no-brainer for him.
I was a lifelong union member and was never even given the opportunity to not vote for Trumka. In my humble opinion the AFL-CIO has abandoned working class American Citizens in favor of legalizing and collecting dues from illegal aliens. I’m reasonable confident that I’m not alone in this viewpoint.
All I keep hearing is comprehensive immigration reform, comprehensive immigration reform, comprehensive immigration reform. How about some comprehensive ENFORCEMENT reform to get the illegal aliens out of this country? How’s this for an idea? Make entering this country illegally a felony. Make the fine $2500 plus one year in Federal prison. Make this the same on overstayed VISAs. If drugs are involved, triple the fine. Then, apply this to all the illegal aliens in this country now. Leave or if you get caught, the fine will apply to them. Maybe, just maybe, this will take the place of a fence that is costly and doesn’t seem to work all that well. It may even cut down on the cost of deporting these illegal aliens. The other thing is this birthright citizenship. We MUST end it. E-Verify in EVERY business and check EVERY employee. End FREE medical care for illegal aliens. End schooling illegal alien children. End food stamps for the illegal aliens. They have NO RIGHT to be here. Yes, let’s start with this..
First of all, a Republican President, Ronald Regan, gave amnesty to the first group of criminals. So, let’s get that straight, it’s not a Democratic policy. Both parties need these people here for their own gains. It is we the public who suffer.
I have written to my Senator and Representative and the White House asking how I can relinquish my U.S. Citizenship so I can get all the perks they are giving the criminals. I want to break laws and not get punished but get rewarded. Yes, they are breaking laws. No. 1 They are here illegally; No. 2 They are working illegally; No. 3 many drive with no licenses – breaking the law in the State of California and many others; 4. No insurance – breaking the law in the State of California and many others. And they go totally unpunished. Whose fault is this? They come here looking for a better way of life. So did my ancestors. However, my ancestors were immigrants. They came here legally and many were escaping from Hitler and the horiible things he was doing to people all over Europe. Of those in my family who did not come here as immigrants, only one survived the concentration camps. When he was offered a chance to come here, re declined choosing to go to Israel where he felt his children would have a better chance to know they were Jewish and what that meant.
Our government is commiting treason by allowing these 11 million people to break the laws of our Country and get rewarded for it. Our government does not care what you and I think; it will do what it wants for it’s own agenda and short of an uprising, there is nothing we can do to stop them. Government is too powerful and it has long forgotten it was of the people, by the people and for the people. Now it’s motto is a Government of the Government, by the Government and for the government. And it doesn’t matter who you elect. They are all the same. Different sides of the same coin. So stop blaming the Democrats or the Republicans and start blaiming both parties.

You can bet that Trumka and other union leaders supporting amnesty are doing it because amnesty is good for them personally. Union membership has generally declined so that less than 10% of workers belong to unions. These guys are betting that legalizing low wage illegal aliens will get them lots of new members and thereby help them keep their own jobs and influence. No matter what it does to AMERICAN workers.

If your company/agency does have a big expensive union and membership is down to 5-10% they reduce your dues way down to like $10 a pay period……if they can get the new immigrants to join, and the % up, the dues could quadruple per worker too.
The Sierra Club’s dislike governor Rick Perry who supports the guestworker parts of the bill but might go against it since his political based-Tea Party folks are against it. Labor and the Sierra Club are helping cheap labor Republicans like Rick Perry and Lt Governor Dewhurst by supporting this.

Samuel Gompers, a founder and early president of the AFL before it merged with the CIO, must have had his successors in mind when he wrote this in 1921:
“They are simply desirous of flooding the country with unskilled as well as skilled labor of other lands
for the purpose of breaking down American standards.”
Sounds pretty accurate. The so called “progressive” movement has sold it’s soul on the issue of immigration. Labor unions doing the dirty work for business operated think tanks and the US Chamber of Commerce. And those same organizations hate labor unions, safety standards and anything that might be seen as pro-worker.
Or the Sierra Club, which promoted less immigration back in the 1980s because of the impact of population growth on the environment, now conducts a witch hunt to vilify those of it’s members who favor less immigration, accusing them of the “greening of hate”.
So everybbody that arrived to Ellis Island went through the process and got green card before coming here right LELAND??!!

Recently the Sierra Club tried to stop illegal immigrants from passing through or camping in national parks along the border.
An owner of a construction company located in LA told the Sierra Club that if they persisted with their campaign he would withdraw his financial support which accounted for a huge portion of their support.
The Sierra Club immediately stopped their campaign.
Does that tell you who is behind open immigration….
