Heritage Foundation – Amnesty Will Cost $6.3 Trillion

“The comprehensive immigration overhaul being taken up in the Senate this week could cost taxpayers $6.3 trillion if 11 million illegal immigrants are granted legal status, according to a long-awaited estimate by the conservative Heritage Foundation.
The cost would arise from illegal immigrants tapping into the government’s vast network of benefits and services, many of which are currently unavailable to them. This includes everything from standard benefits like Social Security and Medicare to dozens of welfare programs ranging from housing assistance to food stamps,” FoxNews reported.

Visa Reviews Ordered for Arriving Students

“The Homeland Security Department ordered border agents “effective immediately” to verify that every international student who arrives in the U.S. has a valid student visa, according to an internal memorandum obtained Friday by The Associated Press. The new procedure is the government’s first security change directly related to the Boston bombings,” the AP reported.

“The order from a senior official at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, David J. Murphy, was circulated Thursday and came one day after the Obama administration acknowledged that a student from Kazakhstan accused of hiding evidence for one of the Boston bombing suspects was allowed to return to the U.S. in January without a valid student visa.”

David Frum: Our Elites Are United And Wrong on Immigration

“Unfortunately, the broad elite agreement in favor of something like the Senate’s Gang of Eight deal says less about the merits of the deal than about the widening gap between American political and economic elites and the country they govern.
For most Americans, the dominant economic fact of the past 15 years has been the deteriorating market for their labor. They must work longer and harder for less pay and fewer benefits. And since the financial crisis of 2008, many have found it difficult to get work at all. Unemployment still exceeds 7 percent even as we approach the fifth anniversary of the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy; nearly half of recent college graduates are unemployed or underemployed,” says David Frum.

Winning Hispanic Vote Wouldn’t Be Enough for GOP

“After six months of mulling over November’s election results, many Republicans remain convinced that the party’s only path to future victory is to improve the GOP’s appeal to Hispanic voters. But how many Hispanic voters do Republicans need to attract before the party can again win the White House?” asks Byron York in the Examiner.

“A lot. Start with the 2012 exit polls. The New York Times’ Nate Silver has created an interactive tool in which one can look at the presidential election results and calculate what would have happened if the racial and ethnic mix of voters had been different. The tool also allows one to project future results based on any number of scenarios in which the country’s demographic profile and voting patterns change.”

Immigration Polls Show Support Thin for Amnesty

“More than two weeks after the Gang of Eight unveiled its immigration-reform bill, an important question remains unanswered: Do the American people actually support it? One could assume so, judging from the headlines on recent polling, which cite the “strong” or even “overwhelming” support for a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants. Indeed, these polls show large majorities – as high as 83 percent – favoring a pathway to citizenship. That might be significant if the Gang of Eight’s plan were merely a vague proclamation of support for the idea of giving illegal immigrants the opportunity to apply for citizenship at some point in the future. A closer look at the polling and at the bill’s provisions reveals a much more ambiguous picture of public support for the measure,” says National Review.

Mexico, our neighbors to the south and have been supporting the most destructive social problem that has ever faced the United States in its short vibrant history. Herein lies the root of the drug problem in one of the most corrupt governments ever known in the modern age. Mexico is the most destructive and dangerous country our nation and our national security. Mexico is an open door to crime, terrorism and illicit illegal activity, all with destinations bound to the U.S. It exerts no control over its borders, it allows the manufacture and smuggling of drugs and dangerous narcotics, it allows the import of materials to manufacture these narcotics, it mistreats and neglects its population, it launders drug money and all of this operates right in the backyard of the United States. This country is a serious threat to America’s people, as well as the rest of the world. We know where it is coming from, we know who is responsible, we know who is bringing it in to our countries, we know the trafficking routes and we know the destination. It does not require secret government intelligence reports to figure this information out. The most amazing aspect of all this, they are getting away with it! Why?

I don’t support the pathway for citizenship for these law-breakers. This country needs to
quit taking in anyone right now. The economy is going downhill and what jobs may be
available should go to the Americans that are out of work.

We need to add the lost wage of unemployed and the UC/welfare plus alien welfare

ECONOMIC LOSSES OF UNEMPLOYMENT BEGINS AT $1.27 TRILLION! Citizens lose $870 billion of self sustaining productive salary based revenue when their job is lost (20 million @ $43,500) plus government will tax $400 billion from producing workers to subsidize the unemployed (20 million @ $20,000 consumption)!. Average unemployed citizen loss is $63,500 each. The real cost is considerably higher than this example! That doesn’t include SSI and criminal damages! We know the rough citizen jobless rate and the fact there are many more than 11 million illegal aliens – the impact at 11 million is enough to “tank the economy”.

Criminal invaders cost ANOTHER $400 billion beyond unemployed citizen economic losses ($36,365 each @ 11 million). Simultaneously, 11 to 30 million criminal alien invaders work in criminal workplaces. Because illegal aliens are confined to low wage criminal employment our corrupt lawless government gives aliens SNAP debit cards and all other triggered federal, state, and local benefits, without citizenship proof, plus free healthcare, education, etc.! A recent pro-amnesty study quoted illegal alien cost at $402 billion ($400 rounded), in a bizarre claim that criminal invaders contributed $35 billion to the economy because they saved $437 billion in wage costs! Inflation and prices are increasing, not falling!

Because illegal aliens are criminals with no rights, they work for pennies on the dollar, and enable their criminal employers to make windfall profits while driving lawful competition out of business! A $20 citizen wage with taxes & other regulations roughly costs legitimate employers $26+/-. A minimum $8 wage worker might take home $6.00/hr after 25% FICA & income taxes, etc. A 10 hour day legitimate worker cost $286 compared to $60 cash with no overtime, taxes, etc., says criminal employers have an illegal $226 advantage that will and has destroyed free competitive wages plus law abiding employees and employers, especially in construction trades!

The Heritage report has been widely panned as methodologically unsound and overall inaccurate – from the left, the right, the center, and libertarians, wherever they fall. Fitting that FAIR would be promoting it.

      Stan,

The Heritage study has been attacked with media sound bites by defenders of open borders. These critics include those who see amnesty as a means to boost their political power as well as those view immigration as the means to increase their profits by degrading wages and condition for American workers. Heritage’s critics have failed to offer any substantive, empirically based alternative. The reason they have not is because they cannot. Robert Rector’s estimate of fiscal costs is the baseline cost of amnesty. He took politicians at their word that no amnesty recipient would receive federal entitlements before the fifth and ten year timeline in the bill. It is almost certain that Democrats will immediately push for an extension of welfare to legalized aliens, or President Obama will simply waive restrictions as he has done in the past. The bill already waives the public charge exclusion. It is almost certain that Republicans will do little to prevent this. The fiscal costs of amnesty will be staggering, and the economic consequences of adding 20 million guest workers over the next decade will be devastating for all those who are not members of the narrow political or economic elite who are pushing this bill –and who are attacking Heritage for daring to inject commonsense into the debate.

The traitors that “We The People” elected to run this country are running it into the ground and now they are trying to destroy. Just as the Russian dictator said about 60 or 70 years ago “We do not have to attack America because it will destroy itself from within” and that is what our elected politicians are trying to do. If they succeed America will become a Muslim country and run by someone like Obama who will be either a dictator or King.

I’ve read that a lot of this kind of comments. I am immigrant myself and every time that I read this kind of articles I get upset and this is why.
I can see that people that write this kind of stuff are looking only at one side of the coin. Let me explaine what happen here. I work for a company that pays me cash. I wouldn’t need to file my taxes at the end of the year. But I do. Because I feel that is my obligation. The IRS galdly take my payments every year. But like me there are 6 more employees in the same company they do not file their income taxes. So tell me. How is that the government wouldn’t make the money that according to the above text the government is going to be expending???
    Please, that is an investment…

The New Immigrants are Robbing Medicaid

And the special needs are currently being butcher axed in the Seattle area to fund this Obamacare cost.

I hear local rumorsfrom reliable sources that care giver contracts for special needs disable legal citizens are being TERMINATED in groves lately. Oh well…..we can always throw our legal citizen disabled in the ditch, like 3rd world countries do.
