Obama Mentions High Skilled Immigration in Innauguration Speech
“President Obama made a brief mention about the need for high-skilled immigration reform during his inaugural address at the United States Capitol on Monday,” The Hill reports.
“In his speech, Obama argued that foreign-born engineers and graduates with advanced degrees should be able to stay in the U.S. and join the workforce rather than be forced to return to their home countries.”
Reid Says Amnesty Bill to be Introduced Soon
“Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Tuesday that Democrats would introduce the first 10 bills in the 113th Congress.
Reid did not list all of the bills that would be introduced, but said some of them will be bills that the Senate passed during the 112th Congress that were left to ‘languish’ in the House,” The Hill reports.
“Reid said that undertaking immigration reforms, addressing gun violence, strengthening schools and helping jobless veterans would be among the issues that will be Democrats’ ‘North Star as we work to end wasteful tax loopholes and balance thoughtful spending reductions with revenue from the wealthiest among us.'”
Santorum Says GOP Ready to Do Something About Immigration
“Rick Santorum suggested on Sunday that Republicans are ready to tackle immigration reform. ‘I think the Republicans are ready to do something on immigration,’ he said on ABC’s This Week. He stressed that President Obama and the Democrats would need to be willing to compromise with Republicans, though,” the Huffington Post writes.
“They’re not willing to give the president everything he wants, because I think they believe the rule of law still matters in this country and that — and that we have to respect those who did it the right way, who waited in line, and did — and made sacrifices, and that they shouldn’t be treated the same as people who broke the law and came here,” he said.

I have degrees in Computer Science, Electrical, and Computer Technology, and 20 years experience. I have been looking for a job for over a year. Just what we need MORE educated immigrants to fill what few jobs there are out there!
I know at least 20 unemployed registered nurses born and raised in the USA who are unemployed or underemployed solely due to how many foreign nurses we allow to come here and work! Our graduates deserve a chance to succeed, Every single foreign worker takes away an opportunity from an American Citizen.
I am so sick of all these politicians and their families who live off the working class saying we need more immigration to take more jobs not already shipped to the home countries of these immigrants that can’t seem to control their populations. I can’t find produce from our own country 90% of the time yet, we are supposed to keep taking in their people from where produce comes from and on top of it provide them with a red carpet of schooling, business loans, free care, and better treatment then a citizen gets. It is bull ****, so I wish nothing but payback karma for all those who open the doors to the immigration overload in this country.

He basically closed NASA, we don’t need engineers [we don’t make anything anymore] and 80-90% of the automotive engineers in America were eliminated through outsourcing.
I know…..he wants the scarce few engineer jobs left with American still in them to fire the Americans and hire the IAs for 50 cents on the dollar….
Look at where that hogwash thinking got us…..the basically 90% foreign outsourced 787 flop and the MSFT Operating Systems defects, built by a contingency of insourced foreigners on the cheap…

We have far too many slots in our publicly funded colleges going to foreign students when the children of American taxpayers cannot get in. Why are we using our schools to train the populations of other countries.
