The Immigration Enforcement Stories Ignored by the Media

Sanctuary cities and the mainstream media are dedicating a significant amount of time and money to vilify immigration officials for doing their jobs – enforcing immigration law as it is currently written. They have also made it harder for local law enforcement officers to protect the public by preventing them from coordinating with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). For example, a Washington State Patrol officer was placed on administrative leave for notifying ICE that he encountered a previously deported felon. Media organizations have been looking for (or manufacturing) the saddest-sounding stories they can find, like a transgender woman...

Criminals Deported, Open Borders Lobby Outraged

American voters widely agree that criminal illegal aliens should be removed from the country. Even former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton acknowledged this consensus and advocated deporting criminal aliens during her failed 2016 campaign. “My priorities are [to] deport criminals — violent criminals — as fast as we can,” she said. “[We should] deport anybody that we think even has a possible link to terrorism.” However, that line of thinking is considered too extreme now that Donald Trump is president. Lawmakers like Representative Lou Correa (D-CA) claim that recent efforts to detain immigration violators have “caused fear and uncertainty...

Strong Majority of Americans Support Immigration Pause from Dangerous Countries

The mainstream media is working overtime this week trying to paint President Trump’s seven-nation immigration pause as an anti-Muslim, universally-hated overreach of executive authority. While it is true that the executive order is a major step, none of the aforementioned accusations are correct. In fact, a strong majority of Americans actually support the president’s actions. A Rasmussen poll conducted last week reveals that most Americans favor “a temporary ban on refugees from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen until the federal government approves its ability to screen out potential terrorists.” The survey found that only 33 percent...

Most Americans Support President Trump’s Push to End Sanctuary Cities

One of the most fundamental American values is respect for the rule of law. Without it, there is little to prevent the United States from devolving into a state of anarchy. It assures safety and the continuity of society as we know it. Citizens expect lawmakers to act in good faith and enforce legislation and statutes as they are written. Unfortunately, lawmakers have broken this trust with their constituents. By enacting illegal “sanctuary” all across America, with the blessing of the Obama administration, the message was sent that the law doesn’t always matter. American’s didn’t warm to the concept...

President Obama Increasingly Refused to Deport Immigration Violators Throughout Presidency

Over the past eight years, President Obama and his supporters tried to convince the American people that he took a strong stance when it came to enforcing immigration law. Some open borders proponents even went as far as labeling him the “Deporter in Chief.” But last week, United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released removal statistics for the president’s final year in office. A complete eight-year picture is now available of what the outgoing administration really did when it came to removing those who violate our immigration laws. In short, it is the polar opposite of the picture...
