Texas Cyclist Dragged for Half Mile by Illegal Alien

“A Texas cyclist was dragged 2,000 feet by a truck that hit her and kept going. Elizabeth English was riding her bike in Austin, Texas when a pickup truck hit her earlier this week, trapping her underneath. She kept her head up to protect her brain, leaving the rest of her body badly injured. Detectives said witnesses heard her screaming. Artemio Gomez Avila, 41, has been arrested and charged with failure to stop and render aid as authorities say he kept driving after hitting English,” the Daily Mail says.

Evangelicals Divided on Immigration

“Evangelicals are feeling the first rumblings of a schism with the Republican Party. Their 40-year-old alliance, one of the most durable in modern politics, could fracture — and Donald Trump’s cruel, racist immigration policies would largely be to blame,” The Week says.

“The evangelical vote has long been divided on immigration. Many evangelicals supported Congressional efforts to pass a comprehensive immigration reform package. But in contrast to issues like LGBT rights and abortion, these evangelicals lacked the clout to press the party on immigration, in part because evangelicals were not as united as they are with culture war issues, and in part because anti-immigrant backlash is so intense.”

Bad Policy Led to Today’s Problems

“The leading Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, began his campaign with a call for a continuous border wall with Mexico and a statement that many Mexican immigrants are rapists and drug-dealers. He and his closest opponent, Ted Cruz, have agreed all immigrants without valid visas should be subject to deportation,” notes

Cuban Immigrant Arrested for Smuggling

“Federal agents arrested a Cuban immigrant accused of driving a truck with six illegal aliens. He was hiding the illegal aliens in a load of watermelons in an effort to get them past an immigration checkpoint. Earlier this week, U.S. Border Patrol Agents arrested Yunier Perez Melis at the Falfurrias checkpoint after they found six illegal aliens in his tractor trailer. The Falfurrias checkpoint is located about 80 miles north of the Texas-Mexico border along U.S. Highway 281,” Breitbart News says.

Border Patrol Agents Warn About Catch and Release

“Officials last week spoke up about the Obama administration’s so-called “catch and release” policies blamed for hindering Border Patrol operations and encouraging illegal crossers from coming into the United States. A recent letter from the National Border Patrol Council states a high-ranking member of the Obama administration confirmed to Border Patrol agents they have no intention of removing illegal border crossers that are being released with an order to appear in court,” The Monitor says.

Can the EB-5 Program Be Fixed?

“Dallas attorney Shae Armstrong says the government’s troubled EB-5 program — an increasingly controversial initiative that offers wealthy foreigners a visa in exchange for a $500,000 investment in the U.S. — can be fixed. ‘I’m still holding out hope,’ said Armstrong, who represents clients involved in EB-5, or Employment-Based Fifth Preference, projects. ‘We’re so close to getting it right,’” the Dallas Morning News wrote.

“Not everyone shares Armstrong’s optimism about the program, created by Congress in 1990 to encourage foreign investment in America’s underdeveloped rural areas and poor urban neighborhoods.”

High Number of Refugees Are on Welfare

“In a long overdue report to Congress, the Office of Refugee Resettlement has found that Middle Eastern refugees resettled in the United States are more than likely refugees from anywhere else in the world who have come to be on welfare. In one example, nearly 90 percent of Middle Eastern refugees receive food stamps, while a little more than 44 percent from Latin America and 74 percent from South/Southeast Asia utilize the program,” says.

“Ira Mehlman, a spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), says it is a tremendous burden on U.S. taxpayers.”

Trump is supposedly a racist because he says we need a time out on Muslims coming into this country. But the far more disturbing statements come from Hillary Clinton. She says Islam is a “religion of peace” and Muslims “have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism”.

Total pandering. Although they do not get the same coverage as attacks in Europe, there are almost daily suicide bombers and car bombs across several continents, including many in Africa. And they are carried out by Muslims. Saying this has nothing to do with Islam is being an enabler of this type of behavior. It’s the modern equivalent of excusing the excesses of Stalin, which many leftists did in the 30s.

Polls done by Pew Research in 2013 showed substantial majorities of those in many Muslim countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Afghanistan and others, favor the death penalties for those who leave Islam. In this country, we shrug our shoulders if someone leaves one church for another or decided they won’t go to any church. In Islam, large numbers think you need to die for leaving the religion.

What same person would want anyone bringing those attitudes with them into this country. Sorry, there’s too much bloodshed, oppression, and intolerance among Muslims. It’s not a stereotype when it’s the reality.

No Leland…Trump is a racist because of how he discriminated people in the 80s when selecting who to rent………

      • avatar Leland says:

That’s just you trying to deflect from the subject, which is the attitudes of Muslims. Any comment on why so many want to execute people for changing religions? Or why under Islam women get treated as the property of men?

If you somehow try to reason and think…you would realize that Trump is a racist agains our own……..that is all I said……I was in NY when he did this and he got a huge fine…………why are you so naive?
