Border Fence Cost Dispute

“A super PAC backing Republican presidential candidate John Kasich is rolling out a report Monday that puts a sky-high price tag on rival Donald Trump‘s anti-immigration proposals and projects a heavy blow to U.S. economic growth if they were implemented,” the Wall Street Journal reported.

“Mr. Trump’s proposals, which include building a border wall and deporting the estimated 11 million people currently in the country illegally, would cost as much as $935 billion over two decades, according to the report being released by New Day for America PAC.”

“In 10 months, Americans will go to the polls to pick the next U.S. president. When they cast their ballots, those votes will likely hinge on how they feel about the issues most important to them. But what are those issues? As a way of finding out, NPR’s Rachel Martin centered her focus on one community going through a lot of change: Mecklenburg County, N.C.” said NPR.

Rubio Hits Cruz on Immigration, Again

“Marco Rubio says Ted Cruz’s attacks over immigration are about political calculation, not consistency, because Cruz, too, has changed his positions, CNN reports.

“Rubio unleashed an attack on his Republican presidential foe Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” — the latest episode in a series of exchanges between the two freshman senators. “When it comes to Ted, he has changed his position on immigration all over the place,” Rubio said.

As usual the media is only telling the story they are forced to tell. The attacks on women in Germany were not confined to the city of Cologne. Four other cities reported similar assaults. The following is from an Associated Press article by Frank Jordans concerning Cologne:

“Among the angles police are investigating is whether there are any links to similar crimes committed over the last two years in the nearby city of Duesseldorf, where men have groped women to distract them before stealing their belongings. The two cities are 25 miles apart. Markus Niesczeri, a spokesman for Duesseldorf police, said that since the start of 2014, officers there have identified more than 2,000 suspects of North African origin in connection with organized thefts although he declined to say how many. He declined to say whether there have been any arrests in those cases.”

Obviously another problem that has been swept under the rug by both the media and the German authorities.
