Tomorrow is Last Day to Help Stop the STEM Jobs Giveaway

image001Tomorrow is the deadline for the American people to voice their opposition to the Obama administration’s plan to make it easier for the technology industry to hire cheap foreign workers instead of Americans. Bypassing Congress, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is planning, through regulation, to allow foreign science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degree-holders remain in the country and work on their student visas for up to three years after they graduate. This is a blatant power grab by the Obama administration to rewrite our immigration laws and reward special interests at the expense of American workers.

By law, DHS must accept public comments on the proposed regulation and respond to them before implementing the change. This is your opportunity to make your voice heard. If there’s enough opposition, DHS might revoke the proposed rule and never implement it. Click here to visit FAIR’s website on the proposed rule, including information about how to comment and some useful points you can raise in your comment.

The strength of a nation is its JOBS! Every patriotic politician since the inception of America has understood its all about: jobs, jobs, jobs! Not the current sell out turd traitor occupying our White House. Americans jobs have been under sourced, out sourced, and now being sold out to non-Americans! Enough is enough! The robbing of American jobs, Social Security, and American veterans in need is TREASON!

We need to dramatically reduce the number of foreign students from China studying at US Universities.

Report: Chinese-funded institutes in U.S. curtail academic freedom, promote espionage
    By Kaitlyn Shallhorn campusreform.org

China has infiltrated American colleges and universities with government-funded Confucius Institutes, stifling freedom of debate and creating a base for “industrial espionage,” according to foreign policy experts.

….the Institutes recognize and operate under Chinese law, and are therefore able to discriminate upon political or religious affiliations while hiring….according to a report obtained exclusively by Campus Reform from the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank.

There are 97 Institutes located in the United States and more than 400 worldwide.

Confucius Institutes have been set up as “bases of industrial espionage” in order to “pursue Chinese students and other Chinese nationals who stray from the party line here in the United States.”

According to 2012 testimony from Steven Mosher….to a House Committee on Foreign Affairs subcommittee, the Institutes engage in both industrial and military espionage. Mosher said the Institutes employ “a number of individuals” who “have backgrounds in Chinese security agencies.”

This must not be allowed in our country. It seems like everyone
but the USA is catered to while we go further and further behind!!! This country has always been the leader through hard work, education and native talent. Now it seems like every former 3rd world country–not too far from their old country ways, have decided they are so much smarter, etc. I have to ask, where did most of the new technology come from?
Then I must say, whatever happened to live and let live? How about coming up with their own ideas instead of stealing from us and expecting the world to find that acceptable? ( they even come to the Midwest and steal crop genetics!) Doesn’t sound to me like they are very smart since they feel the need to do this. Our country has become completely stupid to allow this. It must stop!! Why is our own government trying to destroy us? How sad that our beautiful country has come to this.

How much more treasonous tryanny are we going to put up with. This president does not care about the American people. He is doing all he can to hurt us with giving away our jobs. This has got to stop and Congress had better stop it. We MUST DEMAND IT!!

  6. avatar

Please stop giving the few remaining jobs away to foreigners. The American worker is under siege and needs relief from the various attacks from without and within.

I can not believe you would think this is good for the American people. Please explain in detail how allowing foreign workers to take American jobs is beneficial to legal American citizens. You are either “on the take” or just anti-American to lye to us and expect us to believe it as truth. We are not going to stand by and watch you continue to destroy this great nation with laws you know are bad for the American worker!

I am sick of you people hiring people from other countries cause its cheap labor when there is plenty of people American fit to do the job.

These jobs should be priority to Americans first!
Let these firing students go back where they came from!

I agree with Ron. We have millions of Americans looking desperately for employment and we do not want individuals from other countries taking the position our citizens can fill. These is a self- defeating idea for the USA please stop this before it is too late.

They must accept comments, but are they really required to consider them? I did my part weeks ago, but methinks the Obama administration will do what it wants to do regardless of the will of the people.

The contention by big tech companies that there is a “shortage” of American STEM workers is a lie. They want cheap foreign workers that they do not have to pay payroll taxes for, as they do for American workers.

On July 10, 2014 the US Census Bureau issued a press release titled “Census Bureau Reports Majority of STEM College Graduates Do Not Work in STEM Occupations”. [census.gov] Their figures show that “74%” of STEM graduates in this country do not work in STEM field jobs. The big tech companies try to spin this by saying that STEM works have “low unemployment rates”. That’s true. Most college grads are employed in something. But the big majority of STEM workers are not working in one of the four STEM fields.

There is no shortage. It’s an out and out lie. If there was, companies would not be letting workers go by the thousands, which has been the case for the last few years.
