Slovenia Adds Razor Wire Border Fence

“Slovenia began erecting a razor wire fence along parts of its border with Croatia on Wednesday, saying it wanted better control over a tide of migrants flowing through the tiny country en route to other areas of Europe,” Reuters reported.

GOP Candidates Clash on Immigration

“After weeks of personal sniping, the Republican presidential candidates clashed sharply over immigration and other policies in their debate here on Tuesday, with Gov. John Kasich of Ohio and former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida trying to energize their campaigns by heaping scorn on Donald J. Trump’s plan to deport unauthorized immigrants,” the New York Times reports.

Trump, Kasich Show Different Views in GOP

“The confrontation between Donald Trump and John Kasich in Tuesday night’s Republican debate over immigration was telling—not because they shared practical solutions, but for what it revealed about how each views the country and its ideals,” says The Atlantic.

“The debate laid bare clear divisions among the party’s presidential candidates on the hot-button issue. Trump fielded a question on immigration, and offered a response that he has regurgitated several times on the campaign trail—and which accounts for his surge in the polls.”

Trump Compares Deportation Effort to Eisenhower Era Program

“Donald Trump defended his vision for immigration policy at the GOP debate Tuesday night by alluding to a plan implemented by President Dwight Eisenhower’s that supposedly deported more than a million illegal immigrants during the 1950s,” CBS News wrote.

Interesting piece on Slovenia’s fence. Slovenia is the home country of Trump’s wife, Melania. The Trump family’s sentiment toward homeland security is clear.

Is it possible to make entering this country illegally a felony with a $2500 fine PLUS six months in jail? It would cover both borders and all ports of entry. Is it possible to make being in this country illegally a felony with the same fine? If this was possible, I believe you would see a mass exit if the illegal aliens in this country. If they don’t leave, and we catch them, make them pay the fine, do the time, then deport them. Any lawyers out there see any thing wrong with this? The wall Trump wants to build. If he gets Mexico to pay for it, then build the wall, but I can assure you that unless there is a stiff fine for entering this country illegally, the northern border will be the next border we will have to build a wall or fence.

Another thing. This birthright citizenship has to be challenged. I just can’t believe you can enter this country illegally and give birth to an American citizen. Makes no sense to me.

In Japan, if you are caught in the country illegally, you are arrested and put in jail while awaiting trial. If convicted, you are sentenced either to more jail time or are immediately deported. Japan also heavily fines the employers of illegal aliens. The info is on the US State Department website.

  3. What Other Choice is There?

100% eVerify would cause MASS IA deportation, same thing, same law.

Then we can fully focus on America’s present citizens for once.

you are so unrealistic……….the main problem we have is the Corporations being bought by other countries, the jobs being outsourced and the middle class taking a HUGE hit while everybody blames the Mexicans stupidly and we are being taken by a tornado….JUST WATCH…soon they will being an indian to make 17 an hour for your job……get it?,,,that is where the country will crack…..the illegals are negligible…..but people of you income between 85k to 125k which you don’t make more or so……are losing ground as I just explained….that will pulverized this place….YET….the illegals …the illegals….the illegals …..and slowly taken our main supply as middle income….your children will be suffering…remember what I am saying…….they will ned up 10 an hour to work to pay rent or food or etc…..for sure your grandchildren are cooked….

      • Hi Concerned Citizen

Update to clarify my blog….what choice is there except rule of law?….amnesty is a moot and illegal point defying all rationale justification.

Thanks for your editorial, we agree.

Trump needs to start saying he will make most of them self deport, which is what Romney said. Make it hard for them to be here by denying jobs, any government benefits, and drivers licenses. Most will go the same way they came, by themselves. Why is it so hard to figure out the basics of human nature in this issue? Stop rewarding people with jobs, welfare, medicaid, subsidized housing and instead start penalizing them and they will go. Britain is now confiscating pay checks of those working illegally.

Those who refuse to leave will be deported when caught. This is not rocket science. Of course, some liberals are still claiming that fences at the border won’t stop anyone. No one says it stops everyone, but the Border Patrol, you know, the people who actually do this for a living, say fences are a great help because they slow down those who would otherwise just dash across the border and be gone before agents can get there. The double fence built in San Diego reduced crossings there to next to nothing. Those who say fences won’t work don’t really want them to work, even when they do.

The thing I didn’t like about the recent debate was that the solution to illegal immigration was presented as a false choice between physically deporting 11 million (or even more) people or we don’t want to do that so we have to have amnesty. Yes, deport many more illegal aliens starting with those with criminal records and secure the border, but a lot will leave if denied jobs and all benefits short of emergency medical care.

And for those people who believe a border cannot be physically secured, take a look at the border between North and South Korea which our military and our tax dollars help secure.

Trump is right, Eisenhower under “Operation *******” deported quite a few and others got the message and repatriated themselves with their homeland. Hoover sent back some, and Truman did also. So any candidate that gives up and says that you can’t send illegals home is suspect in my book. I am tired of hearing the line “We can’t do….”. It was OK when Obama used the line “Yes, we can” but God forbid if Trump has the same positive approach against illegal aliens.

I remember the movie “Lonely are the Brave” that starred Kirk Douglas. The storyline was about Cowboy who didn’t quite fit into modern 1950′s society. He intentionally got himself arrested so he could break out his brother-in-law from jail. The brother-in-law was in jail for helping illegal aliens. Wow they actually enforced the law back in the day. There are penalties for harboring and assisting illegal aliens covered under the “Federal Immigration and Nationality Act”.

I recently saw a movie made back in the 1930′s about the INS breaking up an illegal alien smuggling ring around LA. It’s not as if this is a new problem, the difference is our government has let it get way out of hand and is not enforcing the laws.

SecBorders you are correct on how things are out of hand…..but we should start someplace and NOBODY is doing anything……..
