Ben Carson: We Need to Screen Syrian Migrants Extensively

“Carson has previously called for stringent background checks on any Syrian migrants attempting to enter the country. ‘We have to recognize that this is a splendid opportunity for the global jihadists to infiltrate those numbers with members of their own organization,’ Carson said on Saturday. ‘So we would have to have in place a very excellent screening mechanism. Until we had such a mechanism in place, we should not be bringing anyone in,’” says The Hill.

Importance of Illegal Immigration On The Rise, Voters Say

“In June 2011, 22% of voters called gun policy an “extremely important” issue in their vote for president, that’s risen 20 points since to 42%. Likewise, 29% called illegal immigration a top issue in June 2011, that’s up 10 points to 39%, while the share calling abortion an extremely important issue is up 7 points to 27%,” CNN reports.

Germany Sets Border Control Due to Middle Eastern Refugees

“’More than 13,000 refugees, most of them Syrian, arrived in Munich on Saturday. It’s estimated that by the end of the weekend a total of 40,000 will reach Germany, a number that far exceeds how many migrants most other inland European countries have allowed in. Greece and Italy have borne the brunt of the crisis so far, with economically unstable Greece taking in nearly 142,000 migrants since June 1 of this year, and Italy 107,000 refugees,” states the Washington Examiner.

Seven Illegal Aliens Arrested After Smuggling Attempt

“The arrests of the seven illegal immigrants and seizure of the airplane took place on Sunday morning following a routine inspection at the McAllen Miller International airport, information released by the Air and Marine branch of U.S. Customs and Border Protection revealed. It was during that inspection that authorities found the illegal immigrants hiding inside a Beech King Air E90 aircraft. The airplane’s pilot, a United States citizen, was released as the investigation continues,” Breitbart News says.

400,000 Immigrants Lose Health Care Coverage

“A change in government procedures has led to a big jump in people losing coverage under the Obama health care law because of immigration and citizenship issues. More than 400,000 had their insurance canceled, nearly four times as many as last year,” reports Fox News.
