Only 36 Miles of the U.S.-Mexico Border Fencing Are Effective, Says DHS

“DHS said that different types of fencing has been put up along sections of the border. In total some 352 miles have a fence at a cost of over $7 million a mile. At that rate, full fence would cost at least $11.7 billion, and likely far more since much of the current fence is made of Vietnam-era helicopter landing pads,” the Washington Examiner reports.

Twice Deported Illegal Alien Convicted of Selling Grenades in Texas

“A twice deported illegal alien with a long criminal history has been sentenced to prison for selling to undercover agents in Texas. On Monday morning, Mario Alberto Garcia Balderas went before Chief U.S. District Judge Ricardo Hinojosa who sentenced him to 10 years in prison which is the maximum sentence possible for the charges. Garcia Balderas received another sentence in a separate charge for the charge of illegal re-entry after deportation for which he received 96 months in prison,” Breitbart News says.

O’Malley Says U.S. Should Offer to Take In 65,000 Syrian Refugees

“O’Malley said America’s history as a cultural melting pot should inspire action to help Europe deal with the growing number of displaced Syrians. ‘Americans are a generous and compassionate people,’ he said in a statement. ‘But today our policies are falling short of those values. We must do more to support Syrian refugees — and we must certainly welcome more than the proposed 5,000 to 8,000 refugees next year,’ said O’Malley, a 2016 Democratic presidential candidate,” The Hill writes.

Judge Will Not Toss Out Confession of Suspect Charged With San Francisco Murder

“Judge Brendan Conroy ruled Thursday that police acted appropriately in arresting and interrogating the suspect. The judge said he will rule Friday on whether the suspect must stand trial for murder. The shooting triggered a national debate over immigration after it was revealed that the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department had released Lopez-Sanchez despite a federal request to detain him for possible deportation,” states Fox News.

Trump belongs where he is at………No President material…..too dumb and no talent in politics…….

    • Seems Like That Describes Hillary and Jeb Too

    • avatar neerg says:

the one in the WH is presidential material?. the guy in the WH is no presidential material, and you know it. only the 92-100M freeloaders he created are his strongest supporters, and why not?, all are well taken cared of, paid for by the lowest in number income taxpayers in history, and because the income taxpayers money are not enough to fund the freeloaders, he borrowed trillions from china, then china get paid every single day billions of dollars to pay the interests alone on the trillions debt of the USA.

      • avatar No Change says:

neerg….the difference is that he is our President…….reakky 100M people freeloaders?…..he got us in debt with Chine?…really…..last time I checked, I live in the US and the Congress with the President governs this land…….you must be from Africa…….

  2. avatar No Change says:

Let’s face it….anybody that thinks a fence is the solution belong to the Dark Ages………out of reality. IT WILL NEVER WORK!

    • avatar Leland says:

As I said below, why is there a fence around the White House? The occasional person gets over but the vast majority are stopped, You know better than the Secret Service?

    • avatar BillT says:

Israel’s fence seems to working just fine. Maybe we should bring over the Israelis to help us construct the fence. Why do people live in gated communities if walls and fences don’t work?

I will go a step further and say let’s build a series of forts along the southern border. Along with fences and steady supply of armed soldiers patrolling the frontier should put a stop to this invasion.

      • avatar No Change says:

move to Israel….where you have no idea when the next explosion will occur…..where you have “freedom”….

  3. avatar No Change says:

Leland if that were not true…..then there would not be the USA

This has been the case —- > “immigrants help the economy”.

what country do you live on?…really….

    • avatar Leland says:

Immigrants help business in their goal of driving down wages and benefits for all workers. That’s why business is always trying to increase the numbers of immigrants admitted. Business gets the cheap wages and the taxpayers pick up all the costs of raising the immigrants families, like food stamps and free medical care.

Why didn’t you comment on the part in my post where I said immigrants use welfare programs at a rate way above native born. Apparently you think increasing the number of welfare recipients is a good thing. No sane person believes that. And learn some history. Immigrants a hundred years ago made it on their own, not the taxpayers expense. Either that or they returned home, which up to a third did. That’s “the case”. Duh.

      • avatar No Change says:

Leland the demographics that use Welfare are not illegals…..they are lll legal….perhaps children of illegals….BUT then the majority are OUR OWN….WHO ALSO take advantage therefore the extremely small demographics chider from illegals NOT ALL…take advantage…..WE TAUGHT THEM…so one way to stop is to REFORM it…..

Why is it that Congress does not reform it?….that is your question NOT the people that abuse it…..that is how you stop it…..and even worse it is our own mostly who abuses it……

    • History Channels’ Ancient Aliens Alleges Even the Revered Einstein and Von Braun Were Esteemed German Immigrants that May Have Reverse Engineering Advanced Science from like i.e., Crashed Roswell Systems

I’m not saying all your foreign immigrants got their ideas that way. But name a recent one with Einstein and Von Braun contributions since the 50s? You come up nada don’t you.

And does any one believe the 2nd version of the Air Force front page news story report that saucers crashed at Roswell…..then the next day it was suddenly plastic air balloons? LOL

      • avatar No Change says:

SW you are the one one that comes up with NADA as per your environment …….the reason we became the leader in Technology and we have electronics…….The Germans………they did not reverse engineered anything…….ths is not sy fy…….even a Peruvian guy whose name was Paulet, to be the first one to make a protoptype for an engine ( France) Von Braun mentions him in his quest for this technology…….

Nowadays……tons of immigrants that hold patents for instance on being the first one for voice data into fiber optics, etc etc……..from all over the World: India, South America….you guys have no idea…………..just go to USPTO and do searches …………….this type of demographics..highly intellectual professional…..have been coming here for the past 50 years….and shaping who we are the same as the guys from 300 years ago from JamesTown, Mayflower to the Winthrop Fleet migration………this is heavy and you did not even know it …..

There is goes, those are a different wave from many this country has had not just Germans that lead us to become a Power just like you as a SW, you are doing your part so does, di has done on our side…………..

Thanks to Immigration =US……Immigration=controversy some of us do not even realize we are part of it……and the reason where we are at……..

    • avatar BillT says:

First came the pioneers who endured unspeakable hardships. These pioneers did battle with the natives and created territories open to hard working European immigrants. There was no welfare programs for immigrants. Practically all European immigrants that came later were required to have a sponsor who would guarantee that they would not be a financial burden on society. Before Ellis Island immigrants were medically checked before being let into the country, if you were ill/diseased you went back. A lot of immigrants paid for their passage via indentured servitude.

The current crop of invaders evade medical inspection and import disease. These invading bullies seek to mooch an existence off of America after all it is part of the machismo culture.

  4. avatar SecBorders says:

Europe may be at a major turning point in its history, similar to that at the siege of Vienna in 1683 when Islam seemed poised to overrun Christian Europe. The defeat of the Ottoman Army outside the gates of Vienna 300 years ago is usually regarded as the beginning of the decline of the Ottoman Empire.

The Muslim world has been trying to take over the West for over a thousand years, and this time it may succeed simply by huge numbers of Muslims walking into Europe and having lots of children.

There is speculation that the date September 11 was chosen by Al-Qaeda because it was the anniversary of the breaking of the siege of Vienna, although this has not been verified to my knowledge.

    A summary of the battle:

    The year is 1683.

The place is Vienna. It’s the capital of the Austrian Empire.

All summer the city has been besieged by the army of the Ottoman Sultan under the command of Grand Vizier Kara Mustafa.

The city is exhausted and hungry. The Turks have all but destroyed the Löbel Bastion, the most vulnerable point on the ramparts. If they succeed in breaking through the city’s defenses, the whole of Central Europe will lie open to the predations of the Ottoman army. Fire, slaughter, rape, pillage, and forced conversion to Islam will become the everyday experience of ordinary European Christians.

Then, at the last moment, a great hero arrives, passing through the Wienerwald and descending from the heights of the Kahlenberg to take the Turks by surprise and break the siege.

The date is September 11, 1683.

The hero’s name is Jan III Sobieski, the King of Poland…

Sec borders that might just be coincidence as the threat was not over yet but definitely decisive. Thank you for the history lesson….definitely BEAUTIFUL!!!!……one of a kind of a man.

    • avatar Leland says:

I guess that’s why there’s a fence around the White House? Because it doesn’t work? Why would they go to the expense of maintaining it? The occasional person gets over but the vast majority are stopped or don’t even try. Hello?

      • avatar Leland says:

This post was meant to go above.

        • avatar No Change says:

By your logic then you can build a fence of the size of the planet…..what would that do?…..fences do not work…not in this case…….

A better fence we would ever build….the China Wall did not work either…..the fact that you use shoes it does not meant that a cow can do the same or a monkey…..get it?

          • avatar No Change says:

You are no different from the congress men/women as a group…… your case no critical thinking in their case, driven by personal interests…….

There is no need for a wall, we already have a system that can be used for a wall…….Leland….you have not evolved……..

  5. avatar Leland says:

We have a military budget of almost 600 billion dollars a year. I’m not quite sure why we spend lavishly overseas but we can’t spend a few billion to build a fence here. Not to mention the trillions we will eventually spend on the anchor baby children of illegals. If those illegals aren’t here, they don’t have the kids here. But then, we’re not supposed to say anchor baby. Ok, then you come up with something that describes the situation and the huge costs. But the fact is that these issues aren’t even supposed to be discussed.

Look at all the people who say “immigrants help the economy”. But when one points out the indisputable fact that immigrants use welfare programs at rates far about native born, and do so for many years and frequently generations, one is told that’s “targeting minorities”. Well, just one minute. You brought the subject up with your generalizations and cliches, but supplying the hard facts is racist? I didn’t think welfare recipients were such a plus.
