The Kansas City Star (July 23, 2015) reports that despite the passage of the higher education funding authorization, HB 3 on May 11, the law will not prevent the Missouri Department of Higher Education from allocating A+ scholarships to illegal alien immigrant students.
Higher Education Commissioner David Russell sent a memo to college presidents, chancellors, and directors stating that the language in the Preamble of HB 3 has no legal force or effect. The preamble of HB. 3 explicitly states “that no funds shall be expended at public institutions of higher education that offer a tuition rate to any student with an unlawful immigration status in the United States that is less than the tuition rate charged to international students, and further provided that no scholarship funds shall be expended on behalf of students with an unlawful immigration status in the United States.”
HB 3 is a general higher education appropriations act, and prior legislative efforts to prohibit in-state tuition and scholarship availability to students with unlawful status did not pass this year. The preamble language was added by Representative Scott Fitzpatrick who stated “I was not trying to ban them (DACA students) from attending college….I didn’t want their education to be subsidized by Missouri taxpayers.”

America is in Her death throes due to a nation of apathetic citizens! This country’s electorate have been allowed to trade the dedication which originally accompanied their elected/appointed positions, for years and years of income. These offices were intended to allow a path for Americans’ rights and demands to be represented, but instead have become nothing more than a political springboard for avarice and corruption!
Again and again I state that amnesty will not produce a new breed of American patriots from the illegal alien masses. These people have no desire to become citizens of our country for they are acutely aware that this process will require them and their satellite family members to be responsible for their own welfare. Their existence in this country will radically change from that of parasitic to one of autonomy.
Washington is nothing more than a nest of criminals whose reason for existence is to further their financial status, hence they maintain no regard for the rights of America’s citizens. It is not enough that these illegals pay for nothing, not income tax, social security nor hospitalization….everything they need has been handed to them by our electorate, yet now these same elected officials arbitrarily determine that these parasites need more free gifts?! Free tuition to our colleges and universities for these people when every legal American in this nation has not only paid for years and years of tuition, but will continue to pay for years to come. Insanity.
Please note: Congress has guaranteed that every member and all of their families will NEVER be required to repay any loans for higher education, regardless of their choice of universities. Impressed? I hope not. Maintain a vigil watch over any and all of your state’s elected officials’ voting choices…. you will be amazed that seldom is their vote driven by concern for their state’s citizens.
America continues to be the home of the brave and we must not back down. We cannot allow Mexico to continue to control this nation’s future. The current legislative efforts regarding immigration reform are no more effective than the proverbial band aid on an artery flow.
Must the apathetic attitude displayed by Americans only be corrected when we awaken to see Mexico’s flag flying above the White House? Free tuition to illegal aliens….incredulous!

Why should US taxpayers fund IE’s?? Most of the IE adults pay no taxes and send much of their earnings back to whichever country they came from. Our taxpayers pay their medical bills since they cannot or won’t afford them. My ancestors were legal immigrants and learned the language of their adopted country. I have no qualms about accepting LEGAL immigrants who adapt. I realize that conditions are bad in their home countries, but there is a legal process that needs to be followed.
