Government Changes Oath of Allegiance to Exclude Military Service

“U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on Tuesday said it will no longer require incoming U.S. citizens to pledge that they will ‘bear arms on behalf of the United States’ or ‘perform noncombatant service’ in the Armed Forces as part of the naturalization process,” Fox News reported.

“Those lines are in the Oath of Allegiance that people recite as they become U.S. citizens. But USCIS said people “may” be able to exclude those phrases for reasons related to religion or if they have a conscientious objection.”

Policy vs. Pandering

“Fred Barnes has an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal offering his advice on how Republicans can win more of the Hispanic vote. As part of the GOP establishment panic over Trump, it makes the common-sense point that “harsh” and “intemperate” language on immigration is counterproductive,” says CIS Executive Director Mark Krikorian.

“Here’s a recipe for doing better among both Hispanic voters and others: Replace the sentence I put in bold with something like, ‘Make a sober, thoughtful (i.e., non-Trumpist) case for an immigration policy that focuses first and foremost on the interests of Americans of all backgrounds.’”

Intel Announces New Layoff Plan

“Intel, one of the nations largest technology corporations, has delivered a stern message to their workers: You’re not good enough.
During an internal meeting last week, the multi-billion dollar company’s CEO Brian Krzanich said Intel would be more vigorously implementing a policy he suggests has been in place for years and which has resulted in the laying off of hoards of American workers,” Breitbart News reported.

Illegal Alien Who Was Released Arrested for Sex Crime

“An illegal immigrant sex offender in deportation proceedings is being charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year old girl after he was released on bond, according to reports. Keane Dean, a 26-year old from the Philippines, was arrested last week in Los Angeles County after authorities discovered a 14-year old girl — whose parents reported her missing — was in Dean’s garage, according to the Associated Press,” Breitbart News says.

House GOP Plans Move on Sanctuary Bill

“House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has promised lawmakers that he’ll bring more measures aimed at strengthening immigration enforcement to the House floor later this year, according to a top GOP immigration foe,” Politico reported.

“In an email sent to GOP lawmakers, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) details a conversation he had with the No. 2 House Republican earlier this week. During the talk, McCarthy had asked King whether he would oppose a bill on the floor later this week targeting “sanctuary cities” — a measure that has come under some criticism from conservatives for not being tough enough.”

Trump Heads to Mexican Border

“Breitbart Texas has learned that 2016 Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is heading to the Texas-Mexico border to get a firsthand look at the current border security situation. Trump is expected to meet with Border Patrol agents of the Laredo Sector,” Breitbart News says.

“‘We look forward to giving Mr. Trump a boots on the ground perspective on the Laredo Sector of the Texas-Mexico Border,’ said National Border Patrol Council, Local 2455 President Hector Garza. ‘Mr. Trump is expected to be in Laredo later in the week.’”

Pelosi Blames Feds, Not City for Killing

“House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi put the blame for the release of an illegal immigrant implicated in the July 1 murder of Kathryn Steinle on federal agencies and bad communication Wednesday, rather than on San Francisco’s sanctuary policy. In a letter, Mrs. Pelosi and Rep. Zoe Lofgren, a fellow California Democrat and a leader on immigration, said the federal Bureau of Prisons’ release of the illegal immigrant to San Francisco was the foul up — not the city’s subsequent release,” the Washington Times wrote.

  1. A Lot of the Foreign Immigrants

Aren’t Patriot, they’re selfish and uncaring when it comes to supporting our sovereign nation.

  2. avatar Leland says:

The modern day robber barons, also known as big tech, are at it again. Read the link to the Intel story in which the “I-Squared” bill is discussed. It would triple the cap on H1B visas at the same time all these companies are laying off citizen tech workers. Promoted by the usual suspects like Senators Hatch, Flake, and, no surprise, Rubio. The guy will say anything and change his mind ten times over, whatever the highest bidder says.

Also no surprise, the bill has three Democratic co-sponsors. You know, the same Democratic party that claims to care oh so much about American workers? And yet another no surprise, Jeb Bush is in favor of it. This country needs another member of the Bush family like a dog needs a case of the fleas.
