2.5 Million Immigrants Entered U.S. Illegally Under Obama

Approximately 2.5 million people have illegally entered the country since President Obama took office in January 2009, according to a new report.

From early 2009 to mid-2013, the Center for Migration Studies found 1.7 million aliens joined the illegal alien population by sneaking into the U.S. or overstaying a temporary visa. Pew Research Center estimated that number was more conservative, closer to 1.5 million.

field-65065_640Further analysis of Census Bureau data by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) found an additional 790,000 aliens have joined the illegal population in the past two years.

As a result, the illegal immigrant population in the U.S. has grown more than 20 percent – to 12 million – in just six and a half years.

But this growth could have been fully avoided.

CIS says, “Had the United States not allowed so many new illegal immigrants to settle in the country since 2009, the total number of illegal immigrants would have fallen by 2.5 million. But the arrival of so many new illegal immigrants offset this attrition in the illegal population.”

If the next president can do the exact opposite of what the Obama administration has done, by 2024 we could see the number of illegal immigrants drop considerably.

Only one of those scenarios puts the rule of law, economy, American jobs and public safety first.

I am against Obamas immigration policy but I will never be a republican because they screw the middle class in favor of huge corporations and like hiring illegals for cheap desperate labor.didn’t realize that fair was basically a republican organization. To me the only good thing about making present illegals citizens is so we can vote the republican party and their corporate friends out! Not giving any more of my hard earned money from my small business to fair. Giving it to Californians for population control instead. They are non partisan and non raceist.

I am an immigrant. I do not understand why you consider Republicans unfair or racist.

In my view, Republicans are much more fair and realistic, as they treat each individual via their merit rather than race. In comparison, Democrats are far more racist, since they always divide people in different race groups and treat them differently.

Also, Democrats receive far more donation from the rich people than Republicans if you care to look at the donation record. The only difference is that the Democrats know how to cheat and mislead Americans via lies and liberal media.

The Republicans lower the taxes, the Democrats raise taxes so they have money to distribute to who they think deserve to have it, so you are all of kinds of wrong on the face of it. Also, its the liberals in general we need to be fighting they want to turn this country into a socialist heaven, you will find nothing but liberals in the Democrat party and too many liberals in the Republican party at this point (RINO’s).

Don’t count them yet. Obama still has another year and a half left to pile on the destruction. Both Parties in Congress have helped him. Dems are as destructive to America as Obama and Repubs are so fearful of losing even one Latino vote to oppose him. There is no rule of law. America is in CHAOS and Obama reigns Supreme, just like the idiot in Iran. Crazies shoot up theaters and churches in reaction to a Nation that is no longer stable. Thank you, Obama, you Communist Muslim! How can you tell he is a Muslim? He lies every time he opens his mouth. We are infidels to Muslims and therefore he can lie. Why a Communist? Look at his policies. Read his book. Listen to him lie.

We have brought this on our self. Some company’s will do any thing to save 10 cents on on a product.

      • avatar

Raymond is correct that there are too many at high places that do not care about the long term future of the country. Some want the low cost labor, think National Officers in the Chamber Of Commerce, while some want the votes, think the Libs.

The often quoted 11.5 million is from the 2002 census. Since then about 700,000 have jumped the fence each year. The real number is closer to 25 million. They sneak in and stay low until they realize sufficient numbers and then crawl out of the woodwork to demand free access to the welfare office and withdraw even though they have never made a contribution. Open border amnesty means social security, mediaid, unemployment, food stamps, aid to dependent children, etc will all have to be cancelled as the piggy bank will be emptied.

Dennis Michael ***** says there are 40 million and I believe him! Go to YouTube to watch his videos”they come to America you can also buy them on his website.

Why all of a sudden are Obama’s figures not relevant? They may be the only honest words he has uttered in the last 10 years. From my observations (lived in Texas, Arizona and California over 25 years) Obama probably low balled the 11 million figure of Criminal Illegal Immigrants. No one should have a problem saying Criminal Illegal Immigrants it is a fact. Anyone that over says their visa or enters the USA with out immigration papers is breaking the law and that is called criminal. Add to that forged documents, welfare fraud, tax evasion and taking the jobs that citizens could have that is CRIMINAL. The only right a criminal Illegal Immigrant has is deportation. We are long overdue to start loading the buses and take them to the US/Mexican border and wave goodbye.

Numbers, numbers, numbers, the truth is this:

Nobody knows actually how many illegal aliens there are in the United States for various reasons. Any number would be a guess because it is impossible to know the parameters used and not used to determine illegal status. There are various methods of illegally entering the United States by fraud that should be stopped altogether which are not counted in the illegal count that are subject to extensive fraud. First is student visas to students from countries that have terrorist ties, second is aliens entering from countries exempt visas and third is the Refugee Resettlement Program sponsored by the United Nations. Stopping these three programs and shutting down Sanctuary Cities is where real Immigration Reform must start and HR-1148 is a start in the right direction to deal with the criminal aliens already inside the United States. Any other political deflection is not going to make America safer. Securing the border must start in all 50 states simultaneously.

A really interesting number would be a national census of illegal aliens arrested and convicted of crimes inside the United States since January 1, 2009, and even this number may be incomplete due to sanctuary city policies in various jurisdictions including Los Angeles, New York and Washington, DC.

So let’s think about why this census of known criminal illegal aliens has probably been taken and not reported? What if, the number illegal aliens arrested for crimes committed inside the United States exceeds the official guess of eleven million? Or even five million criminal aliens out of the official guess of eleven million. What effect would that have on the view of the American voter?

Anna how do yo define ” firm grasping of newsworthiness”…..and what are the basis to make sure that is case?

      • avatar

Then why hasn’t he been acting like one? He doesn’t respect the law and he sure isn’t protecting the citizens of this nation. I have lost all respect for the office of the president since he came into office.

      • avatar

Looking forward to the day when we can say ‘was our “president”‘. Tomorrow is good for me.

And this president’s robot supporters continue to tell the same lie about how he’s deported more illegals than any other president. The fact is he’s done nothing of the sort. Even he admitted it’s just another lie. In October 2011 he said:

“The statistics are actually a little deceptive. We’ve been apprehending folks at the border and sending them back. That is counted as a deportation even though they may have only been held for a day or 24 hours.”

Clearly he’s stating the fact that those border turnarounds were never counted as a deportation before, which is essentially removal from the interior of the country. But you know how it is, if his lips are moving he’s lying.

I think perhaps a court case could be brought that probably would not succeed, but would bring attention to the issue. Since the constitutional duty of the president is to enforce the laws “faithfully”, would not certain candidates, we know who they are. be disqualified by saying already that they have no intention of enforcing the law and will use any method they can to avoid deporting illegals?

Excellent comment Leland. And this part, “Since the constitutional duty of the president is to enforce the laws “faithfully”, would not certain candidates, we know who they are. be disqualified by saying already that they have no intention of enforcing the law and will use any method they can to avoid deporting illegals?” is an excellent idea! Of course, it probably wouldn’t change anything since no one has the guts to go after the traitor in chief, but it would bring even more needed attention and discussion regarding the current pathetic border “enfarcement” to the forefront, hopefully pressuring candidates to talk about it and come up with solutions for this issue.

Hillary has already said she is going to go “further” than him on “executive orders” for amnesty. When it comes down to it, we are supposed to governed by the laws passed by Congress, not whatever the president decides to make up.

Interesting…..so 2.5 under Obama and we have 10+ WOW so Obama here is not AT FAULT AT ALL BUT…everybody else that contributed with the 7.5+……and you people are still in diapers regarding Math common sense….
