Administration Plans to Abuse T and U Visas to Backdoor More Immigration

Announcement Made at Headquarters of Group that Used Illegal Aliens to Get-Out-the Vote in 2010

photo 3 photo 1 photo 2U.S. Secretary of Labor Tom Perez announced plans by the Obama administration to abuse T and U visas – categories designed to protect victims of human trafficking, or people with sensitive information about serious crimes – in order to further evade statutory limits on immigration to the United States. While illegal aliens who may or may not have been exploited by employers are in line to be rewarded, the secretary made no mention of enhanced efforts to punish those who are guilty of the exploitation.

Perez made the announcement at the Seattle headquarters of One America, an illegal alien advocacy group that was caught using illegal aliens to conduct a get-out-the-vote effort for U.S. Senator Patty Murray’s (D-Wash.) 2010 re-election bid.

Speaking to a room full of immigrants’ (legal and illegal) rights advocates (and me), Perez expressed President Obama’s sentiment that gaining amnesty for illegal aliens – legislatively or through executive fiat – is the most pressing domestic priority for remainder of his presidency. “It is impossible to underestimate the frustration that the president feels” about being unable to implement the executive amnesty programs he announced in November.

In the absence of legislative action on amnesty – which is highly unlikely in this Congress – Perez told the advocates that he is working closely with White House Domestic Policy Advisor Cecilia Muñoz to come up with new ways to protect and reward illegal aliens. “Cecilia Muñoz is like a sister to me,” he said. “Our effort is to figure out what else we can do” in the absence of legislative action on amnesty.

Perez also talked-up his credentials as an illegal alien advocate, harking back to his role in creating CASA de Maryland, one of the most radical illegal alien advocacy groups in the country. Using the pronoun “we,” he checked off some of CASA’s achievements in protecting illegal aliens during his time as the organization’s board chair.

Among the advocates at this morning’s event in Seattle was Jennifer Martinez, the woman who accosted House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) at Pete’s Diner in Washington, D.C., last year while he was eating breakfast. Perez had a verbal high-five for Martinez, praising her behavior toward the speaker as “making positive trouble.”

The rest of the meeting entailed a discussion with the activists about ways in which Department Of Labor will be working with local groups and local governments to ensure immigrants (apparently irrespective of immigration status) have access to the labor market and a variety of programs to assist them.

Did you people even read the dol.gov article?

  2. So Obama Considers Amnesty His Most Important Domestic Issue Now

America’s future is destroyed with this prioritization of giving all our Social Security and Federal Tax revenue away to foreigners. We’re on a train heading for a solid rock collision at high speed. Snippet:

“…Speaking to a room full of immigrants’ (legal and illegal) rights advocates (and me), Perez expressed President Obama’s sentiment that gaining amnesty for illegal aliens – legislatively or through executive fiat – is the most pressing domestic priority for remainder of his presidency. “It is impossible to underestimate the frustration that the president feels” about being unable to implement the executive amnesty programs he announced in November….”

U Visas allow women who are being trafficked and sold for sex to avoid further violence. And you’re using this announcement to spin it as some nefarious attempt to increase immigration? Not sure how I ended up here, social media does strange things, but I won’t be back. Pathetic and sad.

If you read the first paragraph, it acknowledges that those programs were already in place for several years. Read the blue link. These new visas seem to say that any illegal worker is entitled to a visa because they are somehow a victim. If the program was there and working why the need to “expand” the program.

The telling statement by Perez is “our effort is to figure out what else we can do”. There is no way to take that statement except an admission that they are looking for ways to do their amnesty in spite of the fact that Congress didn’t pass it. And in spite of the belief of some people, they are not entitled to “take action” because Congress won’t do something. The president enforces laws, he doesn’t make them and he is not entitled to find ways to circumvent them. We have a constitution for a reason.

Bravo Leland. I have often said “there is a visa for whatever ails ya!” Yes, even one for abused women. So, if your lover did you wrong, come on over to the good old USA, where we taxpayers will support more of the world’a twits. YOUR problem, YOUR country, YOU fix it. That should not be too much to ask.

La Raza runs our immigration policy. Think that’s an exaggeration? As pointed out, Cecilia Munoz is in charge of White House Domestic Policy. Not by coincidence she’s a former high official at La Raza, which has fought enforcement of immigration laws for decades. Now we have a Labor secretary who belonged to a similar group.

Now that he faces no more elections this president can fulfill, by hook or by crook, his dream of a non white America. Think that’s an exaggeration? Why would he quote Rev. Wright in his book as saying “white greed runs a world in need”. The whole thing about Netanyahu had more to do with this president’s perception that Israel is the problem behind the Muslim world’s problems, instead of their own failures to create stable societies. He’s anti white, anti Western by nature, raised by leftists with a view that America and the first world are always at fault.

Agree. A quick internet search even had LaRaza on its list of known gangs, Leave it to Obama to try and legitimize it.
