GOP Immigration Plan Details Leaking Out
“House Republican leaders are within weeks of releasing their principles for immigration reform — a blueprint that will detail positions on everything from border security to legal status,” Politico reports.
“The document, which has been kept under wraps until now, will call for beefed-up border security and interior enforcement, a worker verification system for employers and earned legal status for the nation’s undocumented immigrants, according to multiple sources familiar with the discussions. It will also call for reforms to visa programs and a system to track those in the country legally.”
“Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), who is driving the process, wants these principles released before President Barack Obama’s State of the Union on Jan. 28.”
GOP Leaders Prepare Ground for Amnesty

And unlike Democrats who seek to empower and energize their base to fight Republicans, GOP leaders are planning to bamboozle the base into supporting them in 2014, only to drop the hammer on them a year later.”
Sen. Vitter Wants DHS to Explain Transport of Illegal Aliens in U.S.
“After court documents revealed that the Department of Homeland Security has been ferrying illegal alien children detained at the border to their illegal alien parents living in the United States, Louisiana Republican Sen. David Vitter is looking for answers,” the Daily Caller reports.
“‘I am shocked to learn that the federal government is a participant in an international human smuggling conspiracy,’ Vitter wrote in a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson Wednesday. ‘I cannot imagine a case in which such a policy would be in accordance with the established mission of the Department, particularly since this encourages additional smuggling and sometimes extreme abuse of the smuggled children involved.'”
Business Lobby Releases New Amnesty Letter

Done right, reform can increase our economic growth rate, reduce our deficit, and contribute significantly to America’s future,” says a letter by the Business Round Table.

Is this alleged “worker verification” ever slated to be implemented? The article doesn’t document a timeline, I’d assume the answer is never.
All Republican House members will retreat for a conference to be held from 1/29/14 -1/31/14 at the Hyatt Regency resort in Cambridge, Maryland. From numerous news reports and insider leaks, it is at that time Speaker John Boehner will drop a stink bomb on his caucus and the American people. The Speaker plans on releasing an ‘immigration principles document’ (very likely crafted by Senator John McCain’s former immigration adviser, Rebecca Tallent). These holy commandments from on high will be handed down to all the sheep in the GOP caucus to follow and obey without their input or approval. The Speaker’s guiding principle will be that foreigners who violate our labor, tax, identity theft, and immigration laws must be granted amnesty, legal status, and U.S. citizenship. Another principle of this immigration principles document is that hundreds of thousands of foreign guest-workers must be imported into the U.S. to compete with unemployed Americans for scarce jobs and depress the wages of Americans who ARE employed. (The cheap labor, special interest business lobby has promised team Boehner a mountain of campaign cash for doing them this favor). I agree with those anti-illegal immigration activists who say this sell-out resort conference in Cambridge reminds them of the notorious Munich conference held between Germany and the Western powers at a so called peace conference that preceded the start of World War 2.

Wildfires continue in California as over half the state is under conditions of “extreme drought”. Our ability to deal with these situations will only decline as population growth continues in this country, most of that growth driven by the direct and indirect effects of immigration.
And where is the San Francisco based Sierra Club, which had no problem connecting immigration, population growth, and degradation of the environment back in the 1980s? Oh that’s right, they’re now too busy condemning those who still point out the connection. “The greening of hate” is what they like to call it. To the contrary, it seems to be Sierra that hates the environment.
