Will House Republicans Follow the Money or Their Consciences on Immigration in 2014?

moneyIn an op-ed published on the Townhall.com opinion site, I note that business interests, an important Republican constituency, are committing vast sums of money to the lobbying effort to win amnesty for illegal aliens and even greater access to foreign workers in 2014. House Republicans are squarely in business’s crosshairs as that chamber decides if and how to deal with immigration during this election year.  As the op-ed notes, “The primary reason why Boehner and company might move on immigration in 2014 – perhaps the only reason – is money: lots and lots of it.”

Juan: Do you have a lock on your door? What about your car? Do you leave you bank information or cash laying in the front yard?

Then, you must be a hypocrite. Leave religion out of this. All religions respect the “Laws of Caesar” (government) in order to function in society.

Reading the Old Testament God gave certain areas of land to certain nations and those nations had borders and governments with laws. An alien had to seek permission to live in those countries and it’s supposed to be that way now.

If you don’t hire them they won’t come here. Simple, inforce the existing laws and increase the fines or give them jail time for companies or individuals that hire them or harbor the invaders. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Invading Our borders and then harboring fugitives.

The truth is pro-cheap labor business interests don’t give a rat’s *** about the dangers facing U.S. citizenship, sovereignty and the rule of law from unsecured borders and a dysfunctional immigration system. This selfish rich man’s special interest lobby does not worry about the destruction of America’s middle class or the suffering of unemployed Americans that their grandiose amnesty and guest worker schemes would cause. It is all about lining their own pockets… pure and simple. It is time pandering and corrupt Washington D.C. politicians, especially Speaker John Boehner, stop taking this dirty campaign cash in exchange for favors rendered.
