Deport all illegals and open up jobs for our returning troops!!
This is a disgrace to Americans and a total lack of respect to our troops. Furthermore, our country has thousands if homeless veterans ( according to the news, yet illegal immigrants are afforded gov’t assistance for food, housing, etc. God help us!!!
@Leland: that happens because unemployment only lasts so long, so even if you are still jobless, you aren’t counted in the unemployment statistics because you aren’t receiving any unemployment funds. So the jobless number increases, but the unemployment number goes down when you are kicked off the program
I get that, but it’s essentially an accounting trick. The person is still unemployed, whether they are receiving unemployment benefits or not.

I can solve this problem! We should open the FEMA Camps, and activate the National Guard, bring all ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to this camp – isolate them! Then put out a contract to airline and bus companies to take them to their countries? We don’t even know who they are! In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons. Got any words to clue us in, the wild allegation is clueless to me.
Another headline could be the unemployment rate dropped but the number of jobless increased again. I still never get how that works. Maybe that’s to hype us all into buying the nonsense about our “shortage of workers” that can only be filled with visa workers. Of course, we have the exact opposite, too many workers chasing too few jobs.
As for agricultural workers, within the last two months I have bought on sale fresh blueberries from Chile and blackberries from Mexico. So it seems a lot of those jobs are just leaving the country anyway. But it was never much of a bargain to have an immigrant here with five children and the taxpayers pick up every cost for those children. That really is the “five dollar head of lettuce”. It just comes on your tax bill.

They create a 15% U3 [not U6] unemployment rate….I imagine the oneslucky enough to be working are like flipping burgers for minimum wage and such too.
