USDA Pushes Food Stamps on Immigrants

USDA Pushes Food Stamps on Immigrants

“The United States Department of Agriculture has been working to dispel immigrants’ concerns that getting on Food Stamps will harm their chances of becoming U.S. citizens,” the Daily Caller says.

“The USDA addresses those fears in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamp, brochures it distributes to Mexican consulates as part of its ‘partnership’ with the Mexican government ‘to help educate eligible Mexican nationals living in the United States about available nutrition assistance.'”

ICE Considered Enforcing the Law to Meet Deportation Goals

“Federal authorities discussed combing through state driver license records and traffic tickets as they scrambled to boost the number of criminal illegal immigrants deported from Georgia and other states last year, records show. Emails sent by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials to regional offices in Atlanta and other cities show the agency also considered sending officers to local traffic safety checkpoints and jails. One revelation in the emails: ICE’s Atlanta office was chastised as a laggard in the quest to hit deportation targets and keep the paymasters in Congress happy,” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution says.

“‘The very fact that [the government]needs to send out a directive telling agents to step up enforcement because they are running low at the end of the year indicates the existing directive is non-enforcement,’ said Bob Dane, a spokesman for FAIR, a Washington-based organization that supports tougher immigration enforcement.”

Leaked Obama Plan Provides Full Employment for Immigration Bar

“President Barack Obama’s draft immigration plan would provide work permits and a ‘path to citizenship’ to illegal immigrants who have fled police and or who await deportation in jail. It would also provide a pathway for immigrants whose convictions are subsequently vacated, and for those who have been jailed for fewer than five years, according to the drafts’ supporters,” the Daily Caller says.

“The draft, which was leaked on Sunday, would also provide illegal immigrants with many new legal rights, and create a cornucopia of billing opportunities for immigration lawyers.”

Navarrette: Guest Workers Could Sink Bill

“All those who are hoping that comprehensive immigration reform is going to happen this year — Latinos, businesses, churches, agriculture industry, law enforcement and others — are in for a rude awakening. The trick for politicians will be to look as if they’re doing something, when really they’re doing nothing. But, regardless of how it looks, it’s a long shot that Congress will pass immigration reform this year,” says Ruben Navarrette Jr.

“Here’s what is not in the [Obama] plan: a guest worker program. Republicans have repeatedly insisted that this needs to be in the mix for them to vote for any reform package. The fact that it was left out tells us that Obama isn’t serious about reform and ensures that his plan would be, as Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said, ‘dead on arrival’ in Congress.”

Before I make a statement about the Statue of Liberty, understand I am NOT for AMNESTY or for breaking any laws we already have on the books. BUT, the message on the base of the Statue of Liberty says, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these the homeless tempest tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door”. Notice the words “wretched refuse” and “homeless “. I guess the ILLEGALS have read the message and thought we were serious. I know Lady Liberty was a gift from France, but I don’t know who scribed the verse on her. I wish we could sandblast it off!! (Remember, I’m just the messenger.)

There is no reason that conventions/traditions from the 1800’s need to define policy in this Century. This country has changed from one that was underpopulated, to one where there are shortages of all types and other indications that it is no longer good policy to seek, without limit, populations of other countries as a fundamental characteristic of this nation.

It is so sad what is going on in our country did you guys hear abour Mr. Obama’s uncle? He was aprehended b y police on DUI+Illigal and he still here working, he should be deported long time ago, a job for a legal resident or American citizen.

It is time to stop this invasion from mexico. What is going to happen in the United States when a voting bloc of mexicans who vote in mexico and the United States? No one ever mentions that or discusses it. They will vote here, own land in mexico and the USA, while we are treated unfairly in mexico and they get the red carpet here.

It is important to distinguish between an immigrant [a foreigner who comes here in accordance with our IMMIGRATION law; hence: an immigrant] versus an INVADER [a foreigner who sneaks into our country to pillage and plunder it economically and otherwise].

Further, anyone with an IQ above that of a turnip should be able to realize that amnesty would only serve to attract millions more job-stealing illegals here.

The ONLY way to stop the illegal alien invasion: MAKE THINGS AS TOUGH AS POSSIBLE on the illegals, so they will self-deport back to Mexico, etc. at their own expense because they get to hate it here so much. We certainly can’t afford to deport over 20 million illegals. Plus most would only come right back if we tried.

Let’s get rid of O’Bama – he’s the worse President that the United States has ever had! All he does is lie and try to make our Country a Socialist nation. What ever happened to the good old U.S.A.? No other country would do what we are doing – letting ILLEGAL aliens (including convicts) into their country, provide them with citizenship and give them everything FREE without considering the welfare of its LEGAL CITIZENS! Why are we allowing this? Why aren’t our representatives fighting all of this? Soon our country will be run by Latinos – and all of this just to get their votes! HOW SAD for our children and grandchildren!

If convicted felons are on the path to citizenship, then I must conclude that the bar is set very low for immigrants entering this country. It is very troublling that illegal immirants are encourage by our government and an agreement with the Mexican government to burden the taxpayers by accessing federal programs originally intended for citizens who have earned services such as food stamps.

I have worked for a school district for over 30 that is largely hispanic. The vast majority are illegal immigrants who have obtained fraudulent social security cards and many who have obtained welfare, food stamps and free school meals fraudulently. Schools provide considerable bilingual services at considerable expense. We are obligated to provide interpreters for all meetings along with a bilingual staff who must develop and write all communications in spanish. I am familiar with many families who have lived here for ten years or more and still are not able to speak english.

I must ask if so many of the conversations about immigration reform are solely political in nature without looking at the long term remifications of all the possibilities in the best interest of Americans. We cannot continue to open our doors to anyone who so readily wanders into our great country and continue to give away costly services so freely?

When we are helping illegal immigrants to the detriment of the legal citizens of the United States to include those who came from other contries and learned to speak English and obtain a social security card, drivers license and a job legally – there is something VERY WRONG IN WASHINGTON DC. They are so used to being careless with our money they are out of touch with reality.

If a baby born in America can learn English in two years, then any adult with a brain should be able to learn English in two years. If our government intends to continue to babysit these people they will never learn English. I have seen many latinoes who speak English, but pretend they don’t so the taxpayer has to spend money on interpreters to create jobs for Mexicans. Illegals don’t need a drivers license if they can’t read traffic signs. Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare can not afford these freeloaders.

I just waiting for Amnesty to lose and National E-verify gets acted. Mexico will not have the cock of the walk if Natinal E-verify causes 2 to 3 million of their people to return home. Mexico is now second fiddle to Brazil now.

No need to worry for all the immigration “activists” now though. “Last year” means election year, so the administration had to put on a show to brag about their “record” number of deportations. Back to normal now. How hypocritical is it that this administration has previously directed ICE not to go pick up illegals accused of traffic violations, even when called by local police, but when they need to pad their numbers to look tough they go looking through traffic records.

And how about all those promises of what solid citizens all those amnestied would be, and how they would be subject to strict background checks? Why bother when they are proposing amnesty for those “who have been jailed for fewer than five years”:. Say what??? Sentences of one to four years are for serious crimes, felonies.

Leland, what happened was this, if you recall: Obama trotted out the info that he deported more illegals than any other administration, and certainly more than Bush. Not one week after he claimed that, laRaza was in full swing, as were all the other illegal lobbyists, and they immediately put a stop to all deportations! What did NOT get coverage, at least not enough coverage, was that NumbersUsa caught Obama cooking the books on deportations. He managed to mangle the definitions to LOOK like he was deporting more than he was.
There is not a single opportunity to be missed when it comes to BOTH houses of Congress, this President, the AFL-CIO, labor unions, church groups, and even police unions to get these vermin in here and once again, screw the American citizen!
Let your voice be heard. Call, fax, email, and do it REPEATEDLY>

You’re right because they were counting people turned around at the border, which is not really a deportation.

Deportations are up is a joke. When illegals are deported no one knows if they actually leave the country. In fact, most of them just go to another state, we have a bunch here in Kentucky that were deported from another state. Anyone who was deported and never left the country, and stayed there, should NEVER GET A PATH TO CITIZENSHIP, because they ignore our laws and therefore they are criminals.
